Waves within Waves

Waves are flexible, as seen in the nature of water.

This allows small waves to go with larger waves.

For example, in the graphic below:

• the red matter wave rides the orange convertible wave
• the orange convertible wave rides the yellow radiant wave
• the yellow radiant wave rides the green spatial wave
• the green spatial wave rides the purple aether wave

Hierarchy of the Waves: Aether

This makes the four waves dependent on the aether wave.

This makes the aether ‘superior’ to the smaller waves, with the material wave the most inferior.

We call the large waves as subtle, and the small ones as crude.

This is consistent with us calling:

• a small-minded or narrow-minded person as being rigid, similar to matter.
• a large-minded or expansive person as being wise, similar to spirit.

This is why we put:

• the crude waves collectively as part of the physical domain.
• the subtle waves collectively a part of the metaphysical domain.

This aether is called substance by 17th century natural philosophy and ancient Greek philosophy.

We see that our soul is a substance distinct from body. We know our soul solely from the fact that it thinks.

These external ideas and causes are made of substance. A substance is a thing capable of existing independently. For example, I think that a stone is a substance, and that I am a substance.

“Substance” is everything in which there is something that we perceive as immediately inhering in a subject, or through which there exists something that we perceive (i.e., some property, quality or attribute whose real idea is in us). Substance is a thing in which there exists formally that something which we perceive (i.e., that something which is objectively in one of our ideas). Mind is substance in which thought immediately inheres.

Positive Is Superior to the Negative in the Long Term

The crude waves are crude because they are more Negative influence.

The subtle waves have less negativity. This allows them to have a larger form.

The problem with a large form is that it seems less responsive than the crude waves.

For example:

• the bad solutions to our problems often come easier or are thought of faster
• the wisest solutions are rare or difficult to ideate on

This is also seen in history:

• The Nazis were winning rapidly in the first years of World War 2
• Corrupt politicians are seen to prosper instead of going to jail

But in the long term view:

• the Nazis were defeate and were executed
• Corrupt politicians are eventually imprisoned or lose their political careers in the end
