The Trader Culture revolves around physical wealth and the experience and expression of physical wealth.
Unlike the warrior class that gets wealth as an effect of power, the trader class gets power as an effect of wealth.
As such, the trader and warrior are often in competition, as exemplified in World War 1 and 2, wherein the traders won and established Bretton Woods as the global financial system.
A victory of the warriors would have created a global military alliance bigger than NATO.
