Habits and Choices

You have defined very creatively within your society the idea you label “habit.” This generally has the underlying notion that you do perform a particular action, a particular set of actions, or a particular habitual ritual with which you believe is not to your conscious awareness, and thereby not in your conscious control.

Allow us now to say that even using your own definition of habit: once you know you have a habit, it is therefore no longer unconscious, and therefore no longer a habit. It is then a choice. It becomes a choice the moment you realize you have a habit. It is now a choice to continue to perpetuate that idea.

Now understand, from our perspective, you do create your own reality 100%. And therefore, anything—anything—that exists within your life is a product of choice. Now, you do not always necessarily look at it that way, and you have created the notion of conscious choice versus unconscious choice. But it is a choice, nevertheless.

Therefore, begin to understand along with this idea that we do not mean, by saying it is your choice, that you need ascribe blame to yourself for the, quote unquote, choices you have made that you do not prefer. You do not need to experience the idea of guilt because you perhaps have created things you do not prefer. Our intention in allowing you to view the fact that it is your choice is not to, in that way, denigrate that choice, not to have you beat yourself up, again, about the quote unquote negative choices you have made. But simply by even expressing to you that it is a choice, this implies there are other choices, and therefore gives you back your power to begin to make those choices consciously.

When you begin to move your creatorhood of your reality from the unconscious to the conscious, it is quite, shall we say, advantageous and to your best interests to begin to look at the choices you have made and not wallow in the negative ones, but begin to allow yourself the opportunity to view the alternate choices. Again, there are always many choices. You may create the notion that there is only one way, but that is simply one choice. And therefore, you can begin now to use the idea that it is your choice to begin to allow yourself to become privy to the other choices that are right in front of your face.

One of the things that will allow you most strongly to begin to proceed from this moment forward, making conscious choices and transforming the choices you do not prefer, is to begin to ground yourself into each and every now moment. You always only exist in each and every now moment. It is always only now. You create the notion of a past and a future; however, you create right now. So therefore, when you are recreating a past or creating an imagined future in the now, you are not spending that now moment in the now.

And what you perceive to be a memory of the past is truly a creation of the past in the present. For the past is, quote unquote, done and over with. The cycle is ended, and you did, at the time you performed any given action, reconcile it at that time. You can choose, if you wish, to spend your now moments creating new significances of those past events and, again, wallowing in them if you will wish. But that is also your choice.

So therefore, if you will begin to live being conscious with what’s right in front of you, you will be utilizing each moment to its greatest advantage. If you spend that moment worrying about the future, you are not looking at what is right in front of your face; you are creating a choice that is not immediately available to you.

When we speak of choice, allow us to add the idea that we mean right now. Right now, what are your choices right now?

One of the things that we add within these discussions very often is that you can, by giving yourself the opportunity to view the choices before you, use a particular criteria to choose any of those choices. The criteria that we discuss is making the choice according to who you most believe yourself to be—not who you believe you should be, not who others say you should be, but who you believe yourself to be right now. And in any given moment, your expression of who you most truly are is what moves you, is what excites you with integrity.

So therefore, if you can begin, and if you will begin, to choose in each and every now moment to remain grounded in that now moment and look at what choices are right there right now, and use your excitement to choose from those choices, you will always be most truly you. For as we have said, excitement is the vibratory translation of the energy that represents what it is you most chose to be in this lifetime. In other words, your purpose—the purpose which many times individuals in your society ask us about: “What is my purpose?” Your overall purpose is the thing that excites you the most. The way to, quote unquote, get there, if it’s not an immediately available choice, is to look at your moment-to-moment purpose. Therefore, with the choices available in any given moment, using that barometer, that compass needle of your excitement, to refuse in any given moment from the choices that are available to you to be any less than you chose to be.

If you will reflect for a moment about why something excites you and perhaps not another individual, it is because that is your indication of what most moves you, and therefore an indication, in that moment, of your purpose—of the thing that will serve you in allowing you to continue to be who you most truly choose to be.

Therefore, initially, get in touch with what it is that excites you, both again overall and from what’s available. When you begin using that criteria, again with integrity, to choose your actions, your life will change. When you have denied who you are, when you have chosen the things that everybody knows you must do rather than what truly excites you, the universe has supported that. All That Is, our God, has supported that idea. It will always support any idea you are being. Any idea you most truly believe yourself to be is supported by the universe.

Therefore, if your primary belief is that you are meant to suffer, the universe supports that. If your primary belief is that you must have the style of balance whereby for every 10 minutes of happiness you must have 10 minutes of misery so you can remain balanced, guess what? You get it.

If you begin now to look at the notion of validating what moves you and not settle for anything less, you can imagine that the universe will support that just as well. And if you look at the spoils of that support, you begin to get a life of preference.

All That Is, our God, loves you unconditionally. For it is truly more appropriate to say that you are an expression of All That Is, our God. There is no true separation. Therefore, All That Is loves itself unconditionally. No matter what, you will be allowed to explore whatever it is you choose, whether those choices are made consciously or unconsciously. You will be supported in those choices, and it has always been that way.

Again, you are expressions of the infinite, therefore you contain holographically the whole within you. There is no separation. When I say All That Is loves you unconditionally, perhaps now, if you will allow yourself to feel that, the notion just may occur to you to treat yourself with the same respect. For the idea is, if your primary belief and choice is that you do not deserve to lead a life you prefer, that will be supported also. But obviously, you cannot recall needing to do anything to exist. Therefore, All That Is believes you deserve to exist unconditionally. And if you will treat yourself with that same respect, you will understand that you deserve all that you prefer. You deserve joy. You deserve to be able to be of service and allow others to be of service to you.

Always, you can begin to change your reality to a reality that you prefer by first defining what it is you are already creating—what it is you already believe. You cannot change any belief until you first own it. And very often, again in your society, individuals, when realizing that they may have a belief they do not prefer to have, do not acknowledge that belief, do not admit to themselves, let themselves in on that belief.

So therefore, first look around you. Understand the reality you have created is a product of your beliefs. If there are things within it you do not prefer, what must you believe in order to have created that? Acknowledge it. Admit it. Own it. Then, and only then, can you change it. If you deny what you believe, you no longer have the access to change it; you lock it in. But when you are willing to acknowledge it, you can then change it.

When you believe something, you act as though you believe it. Therefore, you get that reality. This is a physical world; actions are the ultimate physical manifestations of your beliefs, emotions, and thoughts. Therefore, you can use this notion to your advantage. Once you acknowledge that you have a particular belief you do not prefer and have owned it, you can then phrase, determine, define your new preferred belief. State it aloud. Feel what you would feel if that were true. And then simply do what you already do with your unpreferred beliefs: act that way.

Individuals from time to time will say, “Well, I’m deluding myself. I’m simply acting that way. I don’t believe it.” But the idea is, the thing you do not prefer that you believe—you are acting that way. If you believe that has more power than your preferred belief, you have nailed down another limiting belief, and you can change that. For all beliefs are true for those that believe them. All belief systems bring along with them a self-perpetuating, self-sustaining system of logic. And therefore, when you truly believe something, feel it, and act that way, you get that reality. And in that sense, truly believing is seeing, and not the other way around.

When you change the belief, feel the new belief, and act that way, you will see the change. By instilling the new belief system, you get that reality, you get that self-sustaining, self-perpetuating system of logic. And the bottom line is, it is that simple.

Complexity—the need to have it be complicated—is a belief. We are not saying reality is not rich in complexity and diversity. No. We are saying the mechanisms to create consciously are quite simple. They may bring along with them complexities, but not in the doing, not in the application.

So if you believe that the only way you will validate a change in your reality is to have a long, complicated process, own that. Because you cannot change that until you will own that also.

Therefore, everything becomes quite malleable when, again, you acknowledge you have made a particular choice. You do not need to berate yourself for that choice. You can revel at the realization that one moment: “If this is a choice, I must have other choices.” And begin to look around, in the now moment, at what’s right in front of you. That is the only place you can act from right now—from what’s right in front of you.

All excitement is an expression of who it is you chose to be. And though a particular exciting thing in a particular moment may seem to have nothing to do with your overall excitement, it does, by definition, for it is all one expression of who you are. You create a particular focus whereby you cannot see, quote unquote, the overall picture. Therefore, it is not always that obvious in every moment that a particular excitement will lead you to the overall excitement. But when you begin to trust in that mechanism, the same way you have been trusting in the adverse, you will begin to see that change.

And the validation of what I am saying: I can never prove to any of you anything that I am saying. But I can—and individuals in your society like this idea—guarantee 100% that you can prove it to yourself. For it will always boil down to your reality, your beliefs, your emotions, your thoughts, and ultimately your actions.

So do not allow yourself to create the belief that anything is more powerful than you. For if you do, you will experience that. But you are still creating it, and that falls into the category of doing so unconsciously. Make it conscious. Make some choices. Decide what you prefer. Decide what excites you consciously. Command yourself to not settle for less.

As you have done, anything that has creeped into your reality that you do not prefer has been from that older thinking. Allow yourself to use all the creations you have already created by recognizing that you have created them. They are choices.

If you look at something which you used to believe was inflicted upon you as a choice, rather than simply seeing the negative seeming aspects of it, you will begin to allow yourself to see how it serves you. Everything is neutral. The meaning you assign it will determine the effect you get out. If you determine it is very negative, extraneous, “I did not create it,” you will experience that reality. I need not tell you this. But if you will begin to say, “I have created it, therefore, although it seems most obvious what is negative about it, I will now play a little game and see how does it serve me?” It’s obvious what is negative, but how does it serve me? This has not been an approach that you have been taught upon your planet. But by allowing the creations you already have manifested to be of service to you, they transform.

Everything you have created is a symbol of an idea you are communicating to yourself. Once you allow any symbol to deliver the message you created it to deliver, it transforms. When you deny it, it seems to repeat because it keeps knocking at the door and you are not answering. You can answer. You can begin to look at what you perceive to be negative from the perspective of, rather than “why is this happening to me?"—“how is this of service to me exactly as it is?”

That is acknowledgment of choice. If you made a choice, you would look to see why you have made the choice. If you do not think you have made a choice, you will believe things have creeped in there and can get you. But they cannot unless you define that they can. For All That Is will support anything. That is unconditional love—your ability to choose anything.

We communicate to you with the simple suggestion that you can establish your preference, you can acknowledge your choices, you can glean the positive reason that any choice is there to present, you can allow everything to be of service to you. And when you will begin to do this, they will transform. Just as when you didn’t, they hung around.

When you will begin from this moment forward to make conscious choices, you will not create any more, quote unquote, momentum that brings these seeming negative things. You will begin to create preference. You will begin to grant yourself the ultimate validity. And it is that simple.

So therefore, when you say, “I have a habit,” you have made it conscious, and you can now recognize and use as an excuse that it is a habit. You can consciously choose to keep creating it, or you can look at what’s right in front of you, see what other choices are available, and use your excitement with integrity to choose.

Therefore, our choice, of many, is to share with many. But also your society—our choice is to reflect to you what you already know. For you can only perceive something if you first contain it. If you like what I am saying, if it strikes a chord within you, by definition you already contain those notes. Therefore, I am an elaborate mirror system, and glad to perform that function. But I’ll always remind you: you are the originating source of light.

Therefore, allow me to thank you for sharing with me. My choice to reflect, interact, and share with members of your society is my excitement to do so. It is what moves me to be able to share in this way.

Perhaps someday, within 7 to 15 of your years, we can meet face to face. But that is not important, and that is not the point. The point is that even though your society is not yet ready for such an interaction—you have not invited us—we can still communicate in some way. And this brings us great joy.

For our exploration is noting the multitudinous ways in which All That Is chooses to express itself throughout the multiverse. And this brings us great joy. For your willingness to share on this level with us, I thank you. I thank you for acting quite literally as ambassadors from your civilization, and allowing me to act as an ambassador from our respective civilizations.
