The Nature of Art and Artistic Expression
You have expressed yourself in a variety of creative ways, and much that is created when shared with your public is considered what you call Art, in that it evokes a mood, ideas, and allows people to engage in an expression of the artist that is representative not only of the individual artist that has created the piece in whatever form it may come—painting, sculpture, drawing, writing, music, doesn’t matter—but also, of course, is an expression of the time in which it is created, and also of the collective consciousness of the society in which it is created.
So art is quite subjective and is capable of evoking many different kinds of reactions, reflections, moods, ideas within different individuals, because first and foremost, art is a mirror.
Whether or not they may know it, those that look upon, or listen to, or receive in whatever form the artistic expression, are bringing to it their own subjective point of view, their beliefs, their ideas, their feelings, their moods, attitudes, energies, and are getting a reflection from that mirror back to themselves.
An opportunity to investigate why they react or respond the way they do. What does the art mean to the one looking at it? How does it put you in touch with either other aspects of your own Consciousness or other aspects of the Consciousness and expressions of the society in which you live? What does it Inspire within you to express from yourself, to share with others, to converse, to discuss?
Art in that sense allows you to investigate aspects of your being that you may actually be unconscious of, and bring them to the Forefront by looking at your response, your reaction to what you are experiencing. And also allow you to create a response, a creative response in some way shape or form that would be the inspiration part. But first and foremost, the idea is that art—even though it may seem to be very passive in that you’re just looking or listening at whatever the piece of art is—is actually quite active, because it activates certain things within each individual that participates, that is willing to open up and discover more of themselves by looking in that mirror as it has been presented to them by the artist.
So that you gain, as we said, not only insight into the artist, into the society, into the timing, but also into yourself. And ideally allow that when it bounces around inside you, the ideas, the feelings, the moods that it engenders and inspires within you, to let it out in an expression of equal Artistry, equal creativity in some way shape or form, so that it doesn’t just remain a passive event, so that you are inspired to express the art within yourself in whatever way it may be relevant for you.
Permission Slips for Artistic Expression: The Mirror Exercise
Stand in front of a mirror and just gaze at yourself for a moment. First and foremost, appreciate the Artistry of your being.
Whether it be just the physical form, whether it be the look in your eyes, the expression on your face, just appreciate what you’re seeing, what you are being given as a reflection.
Because it will be an opportunity for you to begin to understand the uniqueness that each of you is, and thus the artist that each of you is.
And we say that because for a long time in your Society, most of you have been taught to believe that you had nothing at all to do with the way you are, with the way you look, with the way you appear. But you are the artist of yourself. We have said before, and we will say now again, that because you are really all in your Natural State in spirit, and physical reality is in a sense just a projection or a dream, you are in fact channeling these personalities into physical reality.
So you are channeling yourself all the time, you are inventing yourself all the time, projecting this artificial construct—this piece of art you call your body, your personality, your idea, your identity of yourself—all the time, and you’re bringing that into being, and that is an artistic act.
Painting a New Picture of Yourself
You know what you’re doing, and you may sometimes wonder why you did it the way you did. But when you really start taking a good deep look at yourselves and understand what your true theme of exploration is, what your true aligned path really is, you can begin in looking at your reflection to start really appreciating why you project yourself the way that you do. Now this doesn’t mean that you can’t change the idea of how you project yourself both in personality and in form—it’s up to you.
Because again, physical reality isn’t really solid. You have the opportunity to understand that you can, as you already know, change over time. But those changes can also happen more rapidly, more quickly if you wish, in the sense of picking up the brush—the artistic brush of energy of spirit—and painting a new picture of yourself.
So in beginning to look at yourself in the mirror and seeing yourself as you are in the way that you have now artistically created yourself to be for whatever purposes you did that, to bring yourself to this point of looking at yourself in the mirror, imagine now that you take up a spiritual brush—and not because of fear, not because of Shame, not because of anything negative—just start to look at yourself and start to realize how much more you are within, and how much more of that which is within can be projected without on the outside.
And take that brush and in your imagination start to look at the reflection in the mirror as a painting and start to make a brush stroke here, make a brush stroke there, little dab of color here, little dab of color there, and start to create in your imagination something that you believe is an image in the mirror on this canvas, this reflective canvas that is now much more representative of the being you prefer to be when you know yourself to be in total alignment, in joy, in happiness, in ecstasy, in passion.
Let that Spirit come forth, Let IT project itself on to the idea of your body because it is just a projection, just an idea, and start to paint a new picture of yourself. If you wish it to be a sculpture, you can do that too—start chiseling this and chiseling that a little bit here and there. If you wish to do it through the idea of music and vibration, you can see vibrations making changes in your form here and there as you imbue those frequencies onto the body that you see in the reflective painting. If you wish to write, if that is your Forte of artistic expression, you can write a new idea of yourself and say, well, the eyes are a little bit now brighter, the nose looks a little more like this because it is an expression of the fact that I can take in more air and breathe more easily. Any which way you wish to do this, any which way you wish to be the artist is up to you—whatever works for you in this permission slip.
But paint or draw or feel a new picture, a new being, and really start to use your imagination to see that overlay, however it is you choose to form it. And understand that you are the artist, you are the creator of your real reality in this way. Even if you have never done anything artistic in your life, or that you think is not artistic, again remember you are artists all the time because you are creating your personality, you are creating this idea of your physical reality. You are magnificent artists all of you, and it is time to give expression to that in the outer world, to be free enough to allow yourself to be seen in that artistic way in whatever form makes sense to you, in whatever form is relevant for you.
Painting Your World
And once you have done that—and you can do it as often as you wish, you can do it in the morning, you can do it in the afternoon, you can do it in the evening, it’s up to you, you can do it once a day, twice a day, three times a day, up to you—allow yourself then to go out in the world with that new image, that new painting, that new sculpture, that new vibration, that new appearance, that new understanding, that new creative artistic expression of yourself, with your imagination fully open and willing and allowing to let in the new things that will now be representative of the new artistic expression that you are. Because that will become part of the new landscape, the new painting, the new sculpture, the new background, the new environment that you will start to experience when you walk through life in a creative, an artistic way.
As you walk down your street, you can do the same thing. You will find your imagination opening up. Paint the world in the way that you prefer to see it. Have that brush with you all the time, that chisel with you all the time, that music with you, that pen with you all the time. And as you go through life and you see things here that are out of alignment, allow yourself to start painting it in a new way. Paint it with brighter colors, paint it in a peaceful setting, allow yourself to really start projecting that energy in a very artistic way onto things, and see the world as your canvas—because it is. It is just a reflective mirror, it is just a canvas, and you can paint it in whatever way shape or form you so prefer.
We are not in any way shape or form talking about being naive in the sense of not seeing what’s there. We are talking about the idea of understanding that every single moment you are in fact painting a new picture, and you can now start to break the continuity because Art Is Timeless. Art can present itself in any kind of structure—it doesn’t have to follow the rules of time and space in a normal or typical way. And neither do you. Over time, over space, you will see these things become more fluid in your reality through this methodology of artistic expression and painting the world in a new light, and allow it to break the continuity within you so that you can see more Reflections coming back to you of the artistic expression of yourself that you’re putting forward. And allow others to see you as a work of art, as you see them as a work of art, so that they can be inspired in seeing your work of art and you can be inspired in seeing theirs, so that the whole world can become one gigantic reflective art experience.
Creativity will begin to explode from your imagination, explode Through Your Eyes, explode through your fingertips, explode from your heart. You will see more colors, you will see more deeply, you will understand the meaning and symbols and archetypes that are presented to you. You will begin to see the world as a piece of art. You will see the meaning behind it that the collective Consciousness has given, and you will be able to also change that for yourself if it is relevant for you to do so.
You can also allow your imagination to give you more permission slips and more permission to be more artistic in all the things that you choose to do that are representative of your passion. As we have said, allow yourself to do it not only the thing that excites you but the way it excites you, with whom it excites you, where it excites you, how it excites you. And bring it together—all the colors on your palette—and blend them in a way that is pleasing to you, that is representative of the painting that you wish to see, of the sculpture you wish to see, of the artistic expression you wish to be.
You can do this. You all have this capacity as we have already explained—you’re doing it all the time. Allow yourself the opportunity to really experience the Artistry that all of you contain. Your world will become far more magical, and you will start to see things in a whole new light, and you will start to receive things in a whole new light.
The Cube Exercise
Now here’s a couple of other suggestions for you, a couple of other permission slips. Allow your artistic imagination to alter them however you wish.
Take a cube—can be a cube of wood, cube of any material, but a six-sided Cube.
- On one face, put a mirror, for the reasons that we just explained in the permission slip we just described.
- On another face, put a photograph of yourself at a younger age—if you have one; if you don’t, draw something that’s representative.
- On another face, a photo of yourself, say halfway through your life up to this point.
- On another face, a photo of yourself as you exist or believe yourself to exist right now.
- On another face of the cube, draw an empty shape that is representative of you and put a question mark in it.
- On the sixth face, allow yourself to Simply paint that entire face in your favorite color. That’s all you have to do.
Now allow yourself to start with the image of just the outline and the question mark, and just look at it as representative of a blank you. You don’t really know what you are. There’s not really a reflection here. There’s a mystery here about who you really are, what you really are. There’s a curiosity to know deeply who you really are, what you really are as a being, as a Persona.
Then go to the picture of you, or the drawing of you, in your Youth and see where you believe you started. Gaze at it for a few minutes if you wish, few seconds—doesn’t matter—but get a good sense of that child looking back at you.
Then go to the one that is in the middle—of the child and where you are now. Do the same thing—just engage it, look at it, feel it. If there are memories that come with it, that’s fine, but just absorb what you’re being given as you look at this reflection.
Then go to the one where you are now, look at it, engage it, stay with it a moment, learn from it if that’s what happens.
Then go to the mirror and look at yourself as you believe yourself to be in that reflection at that moment.
Then flip it over and look at your favorite color.
Now go back to the mirror—see if anything has changed.
And go backwards through your present photo to the middle photo to the young photo to the face with the question mark. And then go forwards, do the same thing again, and backwards and forwards three times.
Do this and see if when you wind up looking at your reflection in the mirror at the end, if you don’t see something new in your eyes, something new in your gaze, something that wasn’t there before that is now peeking out at you—a hidden part of you, a new idea of you, a new angle, A New Perspective, a hint of someone there that is more than you consider yourself to be, a promise of something bigger, something grander, something creative and expressive, loving and passionate about life, about being the artistic expression that you are.
Do this and play with it. See what happens. Sometimes you may find that something subtle will happen. Sometimes you may actually be startled and see that something quite different is looking back at you from the mirror. Play with it. See what happens. Have fun with it.
All right, all right. Be the art of art itself, for you are created to be the Creator. So create consciously, create. Give over to that flow from yourself. It is most exhilarating, most rewarding, most revealing, and it will take you to a new level of your being.
We thank you for allowing us to share this with you this day. In return for the gift that you are giving us in allowing us to experience all of you, I ask now in return—in what way may we be of service to you? You may begin with your questions and dialogue if you wish.
Dialogue with Participants
Participant 1: Fear of Judgment and the Artist’s Path
Participant: Hi Bashar, good day.
Bashar: Speak up, speak up.
Participant: All my life, I’ve had this attraction and pull to go towards art. But because of family or Society, I’ve been pulled in enough the direction…
Bashar: What would you prefer to do? Be creative and be an artist in what way would you like to express that?
Participant: Well, I do on occasions, but…
Bashar: I understand, but we’re not talking about the occasions that you do. We’re talking about the occasions that you don’t.
Participant: Yes, I feel like there’s a force that pulls me back. I feels like I’m fighting against this huge force.
Bashar: Is the beliefs that you’ve bought into—that being an artist won’t support you.
Participant: Correct, correct. That’s what I said.
Bashar: So why do you choose to believe that it won’t support you? How can the universe not support you if it created you? Is that a logical question? Do you have a logical answer? You understand, you’re being supported right now—absolutely, absolutely. But you’re being supported in the negative belief that art won’t support you. So you’re being supported already in the negative belief. So why wouldn’t it support you in the positive one?
Participant: I don’t have an answer. You’re right. I absolutely understand, and this is my dilemma because I’ve been taking spirituality classes…
Bashar: Is your dilemma? No, let me phrase this the right way.
Participant: Yes, I’ve been shifting and changing in a very positive way in the past few years because of certain dramas that happened in my life. I know I’m moving towards the right direction. I believe I have broken through many of these thought processes and blames of family and other process. I understand and I’m realizing that I am the Creator. I choose. Yes. And I have chosen to be here the way I have. I understand all of this, but…
Bashar: I’m trying not to say but. Too late. I’ve been made. You say it—I know I knew you would. So I mentally prepared myself for that.
Bashar: Oh, all right. Thank you for your mental preparation. And so where are you now with this stuck thought? You said you were moving forward.
Participant: I am, but…
Bashar: Do you want me to ask the question in a more revealing way? Please. What are you afraid will happen if you move forward in the way that you prefer? Come on, what are you afraid will happen? Let it out.
Participant: Okay, to say it sure. I’m very critical of myself. I’m very critical of people judging me in my art.
Bashar: Who cares what they think? It’s…
Participant: I agree. I know all those things and keep telling myself.
Bashar: Not really. Remember, knowing is synonymous with behavior. If it’s not in your behavior, you don’t know it. You may have an intellectual comprehension of the concept, but you don’t know it in your bones. It’s not real for you. That’s the issue. It’s not real for you yet. You haven’t completely accepted the idea of how the structure works, of how the mechanism works for you. You haven’t really wrapped your mind around it yet. You haven’t made it true for yourself quite yet.
So what are you afraid will happen? Really afraid will happen if you move forward with your art? Now one caveat, of course, as we always say—if you have a belief system that really says your art will not support you, don’t go there. There’s no reason to force yourself to struggle if you don’t believe that it can support you. But you can at the very least do things enough to allow it to prove to you over time that it can support you, until you are comfortable enough believing that it can, that you will let go of the things you don’t prefer faster and faster and faster.
However, if you really prefer to know that it can support you, then all you need to do is find out what the belief is that you’re holding on to that makes you afraid to let go of it, afraid to move forward. What’s the worst thing you imagine will happen if you actually move forward? What do you believe will be true?
Participant: Maybe besides the money issues and all that, I’ve always felt like if I actually do commit 100% and find out that I’m not good…
Bashar: By whose estimation?
Participant: Eventually myself, because I think I’m more…
Bashar: Why would you think you’re not good? An artistic expression is subjective. Yes, correct. It’s not an objective thing. It’s completely and utterly subjective. We understand many people may not resonate with it. But if it’s your true expression, doesn’t mean you can’t improve, doesn’t mean you can’t change, doesn’t mean you can’t grow, doesn’t mean you can’t make a different expression once you’ve learned what you need to learn from the first expression. But if you never make the first expression, how are you going to learn? How are you going to grow? How are you going to change?
Participant: I know that’s why I said it.
Bashar: But do you understand how that works? Yes, that is the way it works. You will only experience the change by actually having an experience. If you hold back from actually expressing yourself and having an experience of being an artist, you will never experience what you could experience in terms of how you could grow and expand and change in the direction that you prefer. You have to take the first step. The stepping stone isn’t going to walk over and plant itself under your foot. You have to take the step. But the stepping stone will be there for you. And once you step on one, there will be another and another and another and another, and you’ll keep walking, and then you will be running. Yes, yeah, that’s great, but you have to take the first step.
Participant: I keep doing it, but it doesn’t continue.
Bashar: You are not choosing to continue. Right. Why? What’s the belief that stops you? Let me ask the question this way: What is it that allows you to take the first step?
Participant: I get that urge.
Bashar: You get the urge. Yeah. Oh, all right. Well, why doesn’t the urge allow you to take a second step? Where does the urge go?
Participant: It usually does. I do bursts of like a month of work and then I quit for two years.
Bashar: Why? Unless it’s not your excitement anymore—that’s fine. But if it is your excitement, why do you stop? What are you afraid of? You said all the money things aside, the Judgment, the criticism, blah blah blah. But this is Art. This is an expression of your true being. No one has the ability to judge how important that is for you. And you have no idea by expressing your art how many people you might actually be positively affecting and impacting and inspiring. Why are you holding your gift back from them? Kind of selfish, don’t you think, to hold a gift back from people who might be waiting to receive what you have to give? It’s not very nice. Why would you do that to them?
If you’re in the world as you are and you have a gift to give, the fact that you have the gift to give means there are people waiting to receive it. Why keep them waiting? Who cares about the ones that don’t want it? That’s not your audience anyway. But there is an audience. There are people waiting to receive what you have. Why are you making them wait?
Participant: Do you have an answer? I guess I don’t know myself worth as much as…
Bashar: Exactly. And that’s what we’re explaining to you. You have worth by your existence. You have worth by the fact that you are inspired to express yourself because there is someone waiting for that expression. Someone who will know that is worthwhile—that’s what they’re waiting for. It has value to them. It will inspire them, it will help them, it will perhaps give them an insight into something they otherwise may not get if they don’t see it through your expression.
Participant: Okay, yes. I thought I’ll go first, you’ll take it easier on me. So it didn’t work out. No such luck. Thank you. I appreciate you.
Bashar: And I will let you in on a secret that many people know. When we go easy on people, it’s because we feel they have a long way to go. If we push, it means we see you’re right at the edge and we could just push you over with a little tap. So we push because you’re asking us to push, because you’re that close to actually taking the step and being the person you prefer to be. So the fact that we seem to be pushing is a good sign.
Participant: That’s a great thing to hear.
Bashar: That’s one way to look at it. That’s a positive way to look at it, and that’s the way to define things in a way that work for you instead of defining them in a way that doesn’t. No matter what the experience is, yes. Because you’re an artist and you get to say, “This is what this means to me.” You understand? Yes. So I am being art for you right now that you get to decide what it means for you in the way that we’re interacting with you, because this is Art. We are creating art right here, right now. Yes, yes. I see. So step up to the plate.
Participant: I did all right. Is any of this helping you? Absolutely. Are you sure? Yes, yes. Do you feel any different at all? I do. I have the urge again.
Bashar: All right then, in the way that you understand we mean this, we would suggest that you go and give into your urges. Yes, thank you. Does that help you? Yes, thank you. Thank you.
Bashar: You know, if you’re all artists, we understand that sometimes you will paint yourself into a corner. But because you’re artists, you can paint your way out again.
Participant 2: The Healing Arts and Energy Work
Participant: Hello Bashar, good day. I have a two question—One Moment. Let everyone settle. Proceed. And I don’t want you to go easy on me.
Bashar: Oh, have no fear.
Participant: Okay. My questions are about The Healing Arts. Yes. And I primarily engage in two forms. One is hypnotherapy—oh, how exciting! And another is energy healing. Also exciting. So with the hypnotherapy, I’ve been working with people in a way where I gain rapport where there’s trust, and then I guide them to be more open-minded about what’s possible for them. So it feels very directed. With the energy healing, I don’t know where they are. I ask them not to tell me what’s happening with them, and I just allow and Trust the energy to do its work.
Bashar: All right. Well, what’s wrong with these things? Nothing. Yeah, well, I don’t think there’s anything wrong. All right. But I’m looking for greater depth.
Bashar: Well, I mean, it’s been—you’re looking to express yourself in a different way or more thoroughly in the ways that you do. So with the hypnosis, it seems more like it’s a co-creation. It’s all a co-creation, all of it. They can’t in any way shape or form be affected by you unless they agree to affect themselves by matching the frequency you’re giving off, whether remotely or in person. It’s the same mechanism. You’re just doing it in two different styles. That’s all.
Participant: Okay, all right. Well, with the energy healing, I’ve noticed something kind of unusual.
Bashar: Oh, all right. How exciting! What is that?
Participant: When they’re at a distance and I’m not in the room with them, it seems like it’s more effective—like somehow forcing it out of spatial proximity.
Bashar: Yes, I’ve observed that it also starts to violate time as well. All right, so you are allowing time and space to be more flexible in that way. That’s exciting.
Participant: Yeah, I mean, I would before I would do it, they would call me and say, “Hey, that was fantastic!” And I’d say, “Oh yeah, I got to—” I mean, in my head I don’t tell them that I hadn’t started working on them yet.
Bashar: Again, it doesn’t matter. Right. Time and space are your things to manipulate. It’s part of the palette of the artist. Okay. Remember, to put it to you in a similar way, many of these conversations we have with you, I haven’t had them yet. Does that make sense? Mhm, yeah. So we engage with you in these conversations in whatever works for our timeframe, but that doesn’t mean it’s the same timeframe as you. Some conversations we may have already had, but we send the conversation to the timeframe in your reality that makes the most sense for you. Some of these conversations we have yet to have, but again, when we have them, we send them to the timeframe in your reality that makes the best sense for you.
So you can learn to do this.
Participant: Right, I mean, it so—should I force it to be—well, people in this realm like to be receiving the healing in person.
Bashar: Well, all right. But I’m observing that it seems that it’s more effective for you when I’m not there. Well, then that’s up to you to determine. Again, it’s not like everybody thinks the same way. There are many people that are just fine with receiving the vibration remotely.
Participant: Right, right. So, um, yes. I guess it seems like I’m looking for some creative Direction with all of this.
Bashar: Did that help? So just wherever it goes is where it goes. What works for you best is what works for you best at any given moment. If you change tomorrow, you change tomorrow. Do what works best for you in the moment. Okay. You will have the effect you need to have because the people who are attracted to the way you’re doing it will receive it in the way that they need to receive it—match the vibration and create the effect for themselves, whether you are in proximity or not.
You are playing with space and time. This is one of the things that becomes more malleable as you evolve, as you expand your senses. You don’t necessarily have to have all the same space and time parameters that you used to. So this is what you’re playing with. And if that’s fun for you and works best for you, why not keep going until it tells you different?
Participant: Yes, yes, yes. Yeah, I mean, I had something funny happen where—oh, all right, do share. I did the healing once, and then for the next five nights, they reported the healing over and over again.
Bashar: It seemed like—yes, you acted as a trigger for them. And they understood the cycle in which they needed to receive it, so they laid it out for themselves in the way that they felt best would work for them.
Participant: Okay, so I only did the healing once, but then—so what? What difference does that make? Right. No, it didn’t make a difference. But at the same time, it was curious how this kind of showed up.
Bashar: Yes, but again, if it’s reflective of the way that you prefer to express yourself, it’s not curious at all. It’s exactly par for the course for you. So you can be very flexible in that way, can experience your flexibility in a number of ways based on the way they need to experience it—whether that means they create it over and over again for themselves (which is never exactly the same anyway), or whether they just receive it once, or whether they receive it before you sent it, or whether they receive it after you sent it. Doesn’t really matter.
The idea of cause and effect is one thing—it’s not really linear. They both exist simultaneously, and you’re playing with that simultaneity to say, well, the effect can happen before the cause because both exist simultaneously.
Participant: Yes, yes. Does this help? It helps. I was just wondering if I should continue to pursue it.
Bashar: If you’re excited to, yes. If you’re not, no. Don’t overthink it. It’s not that complicated.
Participant: Okay, so there’s no specific orientation that matters aside from my preference?
Bashar: Correct. If it is truly your preference. So you can always be clear within yourself as to whether it is your preference or whether you’re just labeling it as such and it’s not for a variety of reasons. But once you’re clear that it’s your preference, that’s the only direction to go in because that’s your compass needle.
Participant: Maybe you need to hypnotize yourself to be okay with this.
Bashar: I’m okay with it. No, all right. It’s just really hard to explain to people when they ask me what I’m doing.
Bashar: But that’s part of the fun. Yeah, that’s part of the fun. So what if it’s challenging? Doesn’t have to be hard in the sense that you have to struggle. It might be a challenge, but challenges are positive things if you define them that way, are they not?
Participant: Yeah, it’s just hard to be—I beg your pardon—it’s just what’s challenging to reach the mass markets in this way.
Bashar: Why do you need to reach a mass Market? If you reach the people you need to reach, where are all these expectations coming from that you have to do it in a certain way, that there has to be a particular result in order for you to be who you need to be and to be supported in the way that you need to be supported? Okay. Why do you have those particular expectations that it has to be a certain way? Right, they don’t have to be there. And paradoxically, in many cases when you don’t need them to be there, they usually show up. But if it’s an expectation that you need them to, you’re actually keeping them at bay because you’re not paying attention to the state of being you actually need to be in, which is really the only important thing—you need to be yourself. Then whatever is reflective and representative of your true self will show up. Therefore, you will know that whatever shows up is exactly what needs to show up—nothing more, but nothing less. And the reflections will come to whatever degree you are expanding.
Participant: Mhm, yes, yes. So when you expand, the reflections will expand in whatever way they need to. That doesn’t necessarily mean it will look the way you’ve been taught to think it must look, but it will expand in the way that it needs to. Right. Okay. Does that help? Yes, it does. Well, thank you. Good day. And you. Good day.
Participant 3: Finding Motivation and the Gift of Art
Participant: So I’ve recently been exploring the idea of creating art, and I think one of the things that really helped me to get over that hurdle of that fear was that art is a gift—is something that needs to be given without the expectation of reciprocity.
Bashar: Yes. It is excitement, and you do excitement for its own sake because you have no other choice because it is you. But there will be some degree of reciprocity if you do it without a need for there to be yes. Without the expectation, then you’re not attaching to whatever that reciprocity might be. Because you see, here’s the real trick of this in the understanding: while many of you think the reciprocity is representative of things going the way they ought to, in many cases the expectation of the reciprocity is actually a limitation on what could be happening. Something greater could be happening than what you expect should be happening. So when you understand that if you have a “should be happening,” that’s actually limiting you from what could be happening, you will start to drop the should and let the Could Happen.
Participant: Yes, yes. The permission slip you mentioned about using the mirror—how does that relate to the permission slip you mentioned I think in resonance and reflection of the mirror as a way to see your Higher self and connect with your highest self?
Bashar: Well, how would you like it to be connected with your imagination? To me, it felt very much the same—that it was just another aspect of that permission slip. Many things are—it’s just another angle, another point of view, another way to look at it, another way to reach beliefs that might be slightly different than other people’s beliefs, so that they can hear it in the way they need to hear it.
Participant: Sounds good. I recently had three weeks of vacation where I was able to essentially pursue my art.
Bashar: You only have 3 weeks of vacation? Oh, aren’t you on vacation all the time? Yep, all right.
Participant: So I chose a three-week period to focus on my art right, um, and create a template for how I would like my life to be. And part of that was choosing when to draw, where to do it, how to do it, what I wanted to do. And how was that for you? It was amazing. Yes. And so would you like to do that more often? Yes. And I think it gave me a sense of where I would like to be more often. All right. And so I went back to work. Yes. And what I found is that I obviously still want to explore this, so I would come up with a schedule to create art either in the morning or the evening, whenever you can. All right. What I’m finding though is that as the work weeks progressed, I started losing that motivation. I didn’t find myself as excited to work on the personal art.
Bashar: Because I guess that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I feel myself almost slipping back into the life. It’s not a slipping—it’s a choosing. Yes. So how are you using your work as an excuse to not go forward with your art?
Participant: I think because I’m creating someone else’s art in the work, yes. And so that is not inspiring to you, and so you’re allowing the lack of inspiration there to leak into what does inspire you. Yes. Why? Why are you doing that? Isn’t that a direction you don’t want the energy to go in? Yes, exactly. And I think I want to move away from that.
Bashar: Sometimes, time ago, a very wise friend of the channel said this: “Don’t look where you don’t want to go, because you’ll wind up there.” Yes. You understand? I’m heading there very quickly. Yes. So what are you going to do about that? You going to change your point of view, reverse the directional flow? Yes. Focus on the things that I want, not the things I don’t want.
Bashar: It’s not about the wanting though. Not so much. It’s about what you need to do. We’re talking about things here that are representative of your passion. And if they really are your passion, it’s not about wanting to do them—it’s about needing to do it. And if you don’t, it’s like you have no breath, no air, no food, no water. It’s that important. It’s that life-sustaining. You must do it. It’s your only choice to survive. You understand? Yes. And when you are that passionate about something, it becomes self-sustaining, it becomes self-supporting, it becomes self-organizing, it becomes self-perpetuating. It becomes the thing you focus on because there is nothing else more important, more exciting to focus on. It brings its own discipline because you simply don’t have any other choice. Nothing else seems to match it, therefore you focus on this.
Participant: I think one of the other things that fits in with this is I support my mother and brother financially.
Bashar: Yes. Oh, here comes the finance argument. Yeah, no, I guess what—I’ve always believed that if I follow my passion, I will be able to support myself really but not anyone else.
Bashar: Well, no. And I think that’s what I’ve never had to think of before. So they’re not part of your passion? They’re not part of your definition of excitement—supporting you? Why would you have a definition of excitement that leaves out the people that you’re excited to support? That’s not a definition of excitement, is it? No. It’s another definition. I have a definition of excitement that says I will be supported but no one else. That’s not a definition of your excitement. It’s something else. The true definition of excitement is that it will support everything that’s truly relevant for you to support—if that’s what really needs to happen.
Participant: Yes, I think I was questioning whether they also needed to find their excitement.
Bashar: And that may be true. That’s why I said if that needs to happen, yes. Because if it is important that they should find their excitement and be self-supporting, then the circumstances will bring that about as well. Nevertheless, just in general principles, your excitement will be able to support anything that it’s actually relevant for you to support. But if that doesn’t come when you know you are following your excitement, then that’s your first clue that they may need the lesson where they need to learn to support themselves through their own excitement. So it will always show you, if you know you’re in that state, it will always show you what is relevant to that state and what is not, very clearly, by either having what you need there to do that or not having what you need there to do that—and that being what needs to happen. Does that make sense?
Participant: I think so. I’m trying to process as you talk.
Bashar: All right. Well, you don’t have to do it right away. You can go off and think about it if you wish.
Participant: I’m definitely going to do that. Oh, all right. And one other thing: is my work environment contributing to my lymph node swelling?
Bashar: Well, if you’re putting yourself in a stressful environment you don’t want to be in, what do you think? Yes. Thank you. Thank you. Go with the flow and your body will flow. Yes. Yes. Stop resisting your natural self. Does that help? It does. All right. Thank you.
Participant 4: The Black Cat Dream
Participant: Hi Bashar, good day. So I just recently got back from Maui and I had a beautiful and also kind of crazy experience. We like crazy. It was crazy. So I’ve kind of crash-landed back into California. Oh, did you hurt yourself? No, matter of fact, it’s been the opposite. I have accelerated greatly into a life that I have wanted to live for a long time. All right. Congratulations. Thank you. So yes, I had a dream about a week ago—I was sleeping and I woke up and there was a black cat in the corner of the room and it was staring at me.
Bashar: They do that quite often. They do. Yes. And I’m a humongous cat lover. You are a humongous lover of cats or a lover of humongous cats? Maybe both. Oh, all right.
Participant: So when I looked at this cat, though, it gave me immense fear. It was terrifying to look at this cat. And actually—how exciting! It said, “Do not look at me. If you look at me, I will attack you.”
Bashar: Yes. And so what did we just say? Don’t look where you don’t want to go.
Participant: Very interesting. Yes, it is. Synchronicity abounds. Cats live on synchronicity. Okay. So I looked away, all right, and it started to say mean things—oh, mean kitty—about me and my family and my friends and my life. And so there was one point where I looked at it and I said, “Hey!” And right as I did, it attacked me. And that fear startled me enough to wake me up. Oh, all right. How exciting for you. Very exciting.
Bashar: Would you rather process these things in your physical life instead of in your dreams? That’s yes, that’s exactly what I would like. I just wanted to know what—so Kitty did you a favor by doing it there. Yes, yes. All right. So helped you get that out of your system, or did it reveal to you something that’s there that you’re not willing to look at?
Participant: Well, that I think is more so what it is. I’m not sure exactly what the message is that it was trying to tell me.
Bashar: Well, what does the black cat represent to you? Because it’s another reflection of you in the dream. So what’s it reflecting to you about yourself? What does it represent? What does it symbolize for you?
Participant: Well, like I said, I like cats a lot.
Bashar: I understand. Yet you felt fear with the black cat. Does it represent the unknown? What does it represent to you?
Participant: It could be the unknown. Is it representative of judgment? Is it representative of Frailty? What does it represent to you? Maybe doubt. Self-doubt.
Bashar: Are you guessing? Yes, you’re guessing that that was what had come to you. All right, so what is it that you choose to doubt about yourself, which is simply another way of saying that you trust something negative to be true? Because you’re always using your trust—doubt is not a lack of trust, remember. It’s a trust in something that is out of alignment with what you prefer. Indeed. So what are you trusting in that’s out of alignment with what you prefer? What belief are you trusting in that’s out of alignment? What negative belief are you trusting in about yourself?
Participant: I would imagine it has to do with finances.
Bashar: Oh, there’s that again. There’s that again. You know, I live in this great space, and since moving back, I have decided that I really don’t want to get back into a lifestyle of working a 9-to-5 job 5 days a week.
Bashar: All right. Well, what is your take on the idea that abundance can come in different forms? It will support you how it needs to. That is something I have been focusing greatly on, and so I have let go.
Bashar: Well, when you say focusing on it, that means you don’t quite buy it yet. Maybe I suppose that could be true. Yes. All right. Well, look at the nomenclature—you’re worried about finances because you haven’t bought the correct belief yet. Why don’t you buy the belief that works for you, and then abundance in whatever form, including finances, will be able to flow more readily to you? Yes, yes.
Bashar: That’s because what you’re saying is until you buy into something that works for you, you are afraid that you will experience—wait for it—a catastrophe. That is very good.
Participant: Okay.
Bashar: I’m just enough. Is this making some sense? Yes, it makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Is this helping? It helps me greatly. Yes. All right. Good Kitty. Thank you. Are you done? I am all done. Thanks. All right, actually you’re just beginning. Please go have fun. Thank you.
Participant 5: Divine Light and Creating Life
Participant: Hi, good day. Thanks. Speak up, speak up. Yeah. Thanks for being here, helping us speak up. I’m happy. Oh, all right. Thank you very much. Goodbye. What more do you need to say? I am happy. I’m exciting also to tell you that I know—I believe I know—that this is the moment where I’m creating one of the Masterpieces of my life. All right. Congratulations. Okay. So is this Divine Light that’s in my belly?
Bashar: Speak up.
Participant: I’m just standing here in front of you to tell me what do you see in the way that I can interfere?
Bashar: Interfere? And interfere? Yes. With what? What? You are not making sense.
Participant: Yeah, I’m trying to make the introduction. Are you happy? Yes. Are you creating your life the way you prefer? Yes. Then there’s nothing we need to say. My question is—is going to this baby? Yes. I know this is God creating her too. Everything is God. Yes. So, um, yes, sometimes I think or I believe that I can block her Freedom. Like now I’m focusing myself and give her all the good things that is coming to me, all the wisdom that is coming to me. Yes. All well. I’m feeling right now like with a lot of energy coming, understanding coming. Yes. But also I feel that there’s some fear or something about maybe give her some unconsciousness things about me that may look here in her future, in her own life, in her own pain.
Bashar: All you have to do is discover what those negative beliefs are and let them go. And then you won’t have the fear. That’s part of the process. When you act on your joy, your joy brings your attention to what might be out of alignment with that Joy, so that you can identify it and let it go. So you can add the energy to your joy. That’s part of the process. So that’s natural.
Participant: Okay, make sense. Yes.
Bashar: All right. Then you’re doing what you need to do. What else do you need to know? Keep moving, keep living, keep acting on your excitement to the best that you are able, with no insistence on a particular outcome. And when something comes up that you don’t prefer, when a fear comes up, that means you have a belief that’s not working for you. Identify it. And when you identify it, it will seem that it doesn’t belong and you will let it go. And then you will move forward. That’s the process. That’s how you grow. That’s how you change. Simple as that. Nothing more complicated than that. Are you willing to allow it to be that simple? Yes. All right. Then what else do you need to know? Isn’t that it? I think so. All right. Well, thank you very much. Thank you.
Participant 6: Trusting the Process
Participant: Hi Bashar. Good day. This is Cheryl. Oh, if you insist. Since last time we talked, things have gotten a lot better for me. All right. What does that mean? Well, last time I told you I was depressed because I was overcoming a relationship and lots of changes. And so now you are choosing more positive perspectives. You told me that I would meet someone—to allow the possibility to meet somebody—yes, and I did. All right. And things are like really great.
Bashar: All right. How come you sound like you’re still complaining?
Participant: Well, things are so much better than they were, yes. But I still find—but not good enough.
Bashar: Well, you said last time to trust in the process, and everything like that. And so since it’s increasing, like it’s getting better, so yes. What are you afraid it’s all going to collapse?
Participant: Yeah, yeah. That happened then.
Bashar: You’re not trusting in the process. But that’s all right because the process is bringing you the information that you’re not trusting the process. So now you have something to work with. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. That happens a lot. I had exactly. That’s how it’s supposed to work.
Participant: I wanted to tell you about my dream the other day because it was super weird. I was walking along like a dock with my stepdad who I just kind of reunited with and started talking to again. And I was looking and I was like, “Are there dolphins here?” because I’ve been really wanting to interact with a dolphin. And somebody was like, “Yeah, there’s dolphins over there.” And there’s one just sitting on top of the deck. And we were interacting with those, and my stepdad just stood on the back of one standing straight up and then dove into the water. How exciting! Yeah. And I was calling for him for the remainder of my dreams—I was just running around screaming, “Why didn’t you dive in after him?”
Bashar: You were offered the opportunity by that being that you were interacting with to stand on its shoulders and dive in. Yeah. Dive into life. Trust it. It was there to support you so you could really dive deeply into what you need to dive deeply into, knowing that it has your back.
Participant: So I need to tap into the serious energy more is what you’re saying.
Bashar: Yes, except you also need to pay attention to it when you do. Okay. Instead of being afraid. Is there a similarity between the cat Consciousness and serious? There are some overlaps. So did they both work as like overseers of Earth human consciousness and other animal consciousnesses? Not exactly in the way that you meant that, because they don’t really have a hierarchical structure in the way that you mean overseer. But they do their part—they play their part. They have a certain energy to express, a certain place to hold, and they hold it.
Participant: Okay, because a lot of the ancient civilizations talk about cats being like gods or that…
Bashar: That’s just because they do recognize that they are expressing nature more closely than many humans do. Do they express it closely than more animals as well? They express it differently. All animals in nature, if left natural, will express their part perfectly. They’re teaching you to express your part in nature as well. That’s what they are reflecting to all of you: “Be your natural self. Join us.”
Participant: They seem to go like they zone out and hyperfocus and then they snap back to reality, kind of flickering in and out.
Bashar: Depends on what reality you’re talking about. Because when they seem to zone out, they’re focused on other realities. I knew that. Yeah. That’s what I was saying. And it seems like added dimensional depth—like people with ADD are like cats.
Bashar: They’re like to some degree. Yes, to some degree. But the idea again is that the animals can reflect to you that there are more things you can become aware of than you are right now. So pay attention to the vibrational state in which they exist. Allow yourself to take that into your own vibrational state, add it to your overall vibrational Matrix or formula or resonance within you, and you can begin to see things in a sense through their eyes. This is one of the reasons why cats were called familiars—they are actually helping you understand what family you belong to. They are inviting you to join the family of natural beings.
Participant: Yes, okay. Yeah. And I think about this a lot and I think we talked about it the other time about focus and how like I used to have ADD and I started using mindfulness to try to snap myself back to the now here and now because I would become way lost in my own imagination and not getting anything done here. Yes, yes, yes. But that may be part of your process—that when you learn how to balance these things, you can bring a lot more through into your expression in physical reality on Earth. Yeah, that’s what I’ve been working on, is balancing it because sometimes I’m too much in the now and I feel like I’m not feeling the Bliss that I used to feel as a child—really blissful.
Bashar: I understand. When we talk about the idea of living in the now, we don’t mean that you blank out. We mean that you are living to the fullest. So mindfulness practice can work against you in some ways. It can if it becomes an addictive thing. It can if you are giving it a definition that doesn’t work for you. Because I also found that mindfulness before I understood you and examining your beliefs and looking honestly, I would feel myself feel fear, a feeling of fear, and then I would say, “Oh no, you can control this. I would go Mindful.” And then I would come back to—it’s not about controlling it. That’s never anything we’ve ever told any of you to do. It’s about accepting and allowing and understanding it so that you can let it go. It’s not controlling it in that sense that you mean. It’s about letting it go so that you understand you are in control.
Participant: I worked so hard to do the mindfulness practice, but now I find myself trying to come back.
Bashar: That’s all right. You can incorporate whatever parts of it will work for you into a broader understanding and apply it in a more effective way. You’re gathering pieces and you’ll decide what works for you and what does not, and then you’ll formulate a new methodology for yourself that will work more effectively for you. That’s all.
Participant: You said I should get floaty in the vibration. I feel when I have flashbacks—really intense vivid flashbacks of my past. Yes. My question was why do I have flashbacks and how does it serve me? And it seems like when you’re talking about the cube thing, you were almost trying to enhance this in some way.
Bashar: I’m just because the idea is to understand that they’re not flashbacks. Everything exists all at once. So that you are more aware of more of the things that exist all at once, including what you typically call different time frames. Because you say “live here now, be here now,” but therefore the more now you are, the more aware you become of all the other versions of yourself too.
Participant: So it’s trying to integrate things that I was back then?
Bashar: Back but it’s not back then—that’s the point. What you’re learning is that it exists simultaneously with you now, and that you can integrate it because it does. If it actually was in the past, you couldn’t integrate it. You can only integrate it because it exists simultaneously with you. But it may be interpreted as flashbacks because you think of things linearly. But they’re leaking through and coming to you because they’re attempting to show you that they actually exist right now with you. And the more you encompass all of this and use it all—that’s what living in the now means. It’s not really that you’re flashing back, it’s that you’re incorporating more of all the moments of your being.
Participant: Like a time that I was more reflective of my true being, yes. To put it in linear terms, yes. So you can learn from that and incorporate it into what you consider your now to be. But all those things exist now. Yeah, I understand that. All right.
Participant: Some I get songs stuck in my head.
Bashar: Um, why does that—well, now that statement is stuck in mine. Just playing with you. Let it in, let it run its course. There may be a reason why that particular song is reflective of something that you need to know. Just pay attention. And when it has delivered the information it needs to deliver and you’ve accepted it, it will go on its way.
Participant: Sometimes I don’t even like the song. I understand, and that may actually be the point. There may still be something within it that you can get something positive out of. I see. I see. I think I know what you mean. All right. Well, thank you. Good day. Good day. Thank you. Bye. Love you. Love you too.
Participant 7: Various Questions (Technology, Dreams, Nature)
Bashar: Are you having fun with your technology? All right. Well, as long as you’re having fun. Are you having fun? Making sure you’re all awake.
Participant: Shabai, good day. That gave me some time to blissfully just Savor the now. How synchronous of you. Thank you. I express my art form in writing, and so I wrote a list of Curiosities I have in my mind, and I’ll pick a few and see what we go with. By all means.
First, I’m curious about how your Society—I know you communicate via telepathy, yes, for the most part. How do you laugh with one another? Do you express that?
Bashar: Really? What do you mean how do we laugh?
Participant: I mean, is it an internal feeling that’s projected outwardly in a physical sense?
Bashar: It can be, yes. It doesn’t have to be, but it can be. All right. I was just curious.
Now going to um, I had a dream a while back, yes. And I’d like to know who the beings were in my dream that were encouraging me in my way of life, in a sense just letting me know that all in all it’s just to treat everything as Child’s Play. It’s that easy. Yes, yes, yes. And so I see them very clearly in my mind right now.
Bashar: What do they look like?
Participant: Just forms—just forms, forms and no real facial features. Tall forms, short forms, thin forms, fat forms.
Bashar: What are they? They’re thin, tall and thin—taller than you very much. Yeah, all right. And how thin? Really thin. Um, thinner than me. Thin compared to most everybody. And it was uniformly thin—each one of them were head bigger than yours. Yes, much. Um, not much. All right.
Bashar: And so just I’m curious as to who those beings were that were encouraging me.
Bashar: Combination of things. What many people call tall Grays, but also what they call the Mantis—the what? Mantis. It bears a resemblance to your insect called the praying mantis. Yes. I could see that. All right.
Participant: Within this dream, I’m going to leave out most of it, but one key factor that I took from it was that they communicated with me that we were all, in a way, like pure crystals that hold information.
Bashar: Yes, you are. And within a few days from that night rather, I woke up out of my dream—not a different dream again—to two beings in my bedroom. Yes. Different beings this time that were standing by my crystal, which I’m holding now. Oh, all right. Is there any communication there that was leading for me to ask this question right now as to how to communicate with—I’m assuming this is—you seem to be doing fine. Okay. So how to communicate with my permission slip called this Crystal—yes—to then tie in to whatever that dream was supposed to download to me.
Bashar: Well, where’s your imagination? All right. How do you imagine it would work for you to do so? Okay. I’m asking you how do you imagine it would work for you to do so.
Participant: Just be open and flowing.
Bashar: Is that what would work? All right. Then that will work for you. That’s what permission slips are all about—you get to decide how they work for you. Okay. Yes, yes. Because you’re doing it anyway. You’re just using the permission slip as an excuse.
Participant: Okay. Now going to—I’m wondering what I really really connect to the ocean and the stars, and particularly when there’s a clear sky and there’s plenty of stars out, but most of all when there’s a full moon—is there any what is the relationship there?
Bashar: Well, there are many different things going on archetypally and energetically. Emotion, flow, polarization, balance in that sense. The feminine aspect expressing itself through the idea of deep feeling, deep emotion. This is a strong energetic connection to these kinds of archetypal ideas and symbols as they reflect to you in that way. It’s one of your stronger expressions. Yes.
Participant: What is your artistic expression? Writing. I love writing. It’s meditative to me. All right. And so just that—it’s why I—what do you write about? Feelings. That’s just feelings. And then eventually you go—that’s just that. Energy flows. And when I go back and read upon what I wrote, it just feels very beautiful, like it was—
Bashar: Have you written a story about the Moon being your friend in a poetic sense? Yes. All right. Then you’re on the right track.
Participant: And going on to no, something that I’m trying to wrap my head around—I’m trying to wrap my head around, I guess, in a sense—
Bashar: Well, don’t hurt yourself.
Participant: If you would help me understand this—I’m writing it in this way—any and every possible experience is already set as an infinite set of platforms that are available to us. Is that correct?
Bashar: In a sense, yes. Okay.
Participant: And it’s some sort of structure that’s just available with no real meaning on the structure. The structure doesn’t change—your experience and perspective of it is what changes. And so we as individual Spirits, whether we come in a human form or otherwise, choose what string of events we want to experience within that platform. Okay, yes.
Participant: Is it then like threading—like an infinite thread going through an infinite set of needles as stopping points—like say this needle’s this experience, and it goes on forever.
Bashar: Yes, yes, yes, yes. Now with that said, I had an experience where I had a car crash and I know that I absolutely was given a choice to come back. All right. And I wanted to see my children grow. Yes, yes, we understand. So you shifted to a parallel reality now that—I’m in this reality, but now the person—which reality? This one now, or this one, or this one? One I’m experiencing at every moment, or this one, or this one? That’s exactly it.
So the experience that I saw myself falling off the bridge—I actually saw myself—and for some reason which I chose was to continue.
Bashar: Who’s having that experience? You are, in another way. The greater you in another expression is having that experience. You chose to focus in this part of the experience in this way as this extension of the greater you, while another extension experiences something else, and another experiences something else, and another experiences something else, and another experiences something else.
Participant: All connected to my higher self? The same all connected to the Oversoul. Each has its own higher self because higher self is the non-physical part of the Persona that you are being in this experience.
Participant: You’re my reflection right now, yes. Connected to my Over Soul, yes. And your higher mind and lots of other levels up to the one. Of course. Why not? There’s nothing stopping it, is there? Is there something that needs to trickle down? Things are always trickling. In this very moment, now it’s not about things not trickling. It’s never about things not coming to you. It’s about how much you’re paying attention to what you’re already being given. Yes. Make sense? Very much. All right. Does that help? Yes. Thank you. Then pleasant dreams to you.
Remember, you are always being given all the help you can be given. When you ask for help, what you’re actually doing is asking for more awareness of the help you’re already being given. You’re not asking for something that’s not being given already.
Participant 8: Passion and Following Your Excitement
Participant: Hello Bashar, good day. I’m very grateful to be here. My question is—we’re all here, everything is for a reason, there are no coincidences, it’s all an orchestration.
Bashar: Yes. You may not always know what everything is for, but it’s all an orchestration. Some things will have more to do with you or less to do with you and may have more to do with someone else, but you’re still part of the orchestration if you’re experiencing it at all—even if it’s just to be there so someone else can get what they need out of it. Still an orchestration.
Participant: So the reason I’m here for a reason today, yes. Your own reasons. Sometimes you know what they are and sometimes you don’t need to.
Participant: Thank you. My second question is—we all always have to follow our passion.
Bashar: You don’t have to. But it’s probably a wise choice. It’s certainly a more enjoyable Choice than not following it. Of course.
Participant: But can we have not one passion? Because people always say stick to one thing.
Bashar: Sometimes your passion can be expressed in a multitude of ways. It doesn’t mean it’s not the same passion. It just may be that you have an overarching passion that can be expressed in a number of ways.
Participant: Can I have two passions like our dream? No, no, no. You can have different expressions of your passion. It’s still the same passion. Passion is just an energy State. The expression doesn’t mean you have a different passion—it just means you have a different expression of the same passion.
Participant: If one connects more to Sport and another one to business, does that mean you want to go into the sports business and blend?
Bashar: Maybe. I don’t know. But it’s up to you is what we’re saying. Whatever excites you. And again, remember the idea of your passion will shift from time to time through different Expressions because you may need to experience that expression of your passion and learn something there so that when you perhaps shift back to the other expression, you’ll bring something with you in terms of experience that will actually enhance the other expression as well. Because all passion and all excitement is connected to all other expressions of it. It’s a thread that you follow through different Expressions because you’re Gathering what you need to be able to actually fully Express all the different expressions of your passion. Doesn’t mean that it has to be looked at as a diversion. If it is your passion, there may be an extremely good reason why it’s expressing itself or needs to express itself in some way that looks very different than what you were doing before—because there’s something you need to learn about that to enhance every expression of your passion that you will encounter from that point forward. You need to just follow the thread and trust it.
Participant: Trust myself, trust my higher self.
Bashar: Trust your passion. It’s a self-guiding mechanism. That’s how you know that you’re on the right track. That’s what passion and excitement is—it’s your physical bodily translation of your true path, your true vibration at that moment. It will Express itself in a number of different ways, but it’s the same passion, it’s the same vibration—it’s your true vibration.
Participant: Regardless that many people around me say that I shouldn’t do it, but I feel like I can. They may be afraid to do that because they don’t understand how it works. If you understand how it works and you’re actually truly following your passion and not actually just distracting yourself, yes—if it is a true following of your passion, it will work whether anyone says it will or not, because that’s how the mechanism Works. They may just not understand that, and they may be afraid to do it because they don’t understand how it works.
Participant: Yes, yes. But you have to be clear and honest with yourself that that’s actually what you’re doing—is really following your passion where it leads you, and not distracting yourself, or coloring your passion, or coloring your anxiety to look like passion, or coloring your passion to look like anxiety. You have to be honest with yourself about this. Is this really right now where my passion is leading me? Because it’s not leading me there. And you have to be clear that you’re not just skipping around because you’re afraid to follow your passion. Make sense? Yes, it does. Does this help? Absolutely. All right. Well, thank you. Thank you.
Bashar: Yes, all of you, please understand this is just a description of how the mechanism Works, how the structure works. This isn’t a philosophy—this is actually a description of how the Machine Works. Use it to your advantage. This is just physics. What you put out is what you get back. Simple as that. Nothing complicated, nothing mysterious.
Participant 9: Simultaneous Existence and Duality
Participant: Hello Bashar, good day. I’m grateful to be here again. We are grateful that you are there. Thank you. That didn’t come out right, did it? No. Too focused on my question. Right.
Well, when you talk about art, the first thing that came to my mind was the art of creation. Yes. So since everything exists at the same time and yes—simultaneously—that’s redundant. Yes, it is. Thank you.
Participant: Then is it that the art of creation is that we are expressing?
Bashar: Yes, that’s what we said. The structure exists. It’s your experience and perspective of the structure that changes and allows creation to expand. The structure doesn’t expand—your creation of your expression of your perspective of it is what changes and expands it. Okay. But the structure is the same. You just have different points of view, different expressions of it. That’s the expansion. And then that happens of course through the parallel realities as well. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Add in an item. Okay. Great. Does that help you? It does.
Participant: And my next question is that you mentioned once that in your Society you don’t experience negativity.
Bashar: No, thank you. We know it’s there as a choice, but we don’t prefer it. So no, thank you. All right.
Participant: I wish I could say the same thing.
Bashar: Well, go ahead. You can. No, I don’t experience it. I choose not to experience that. Oh, why not?
Participant: Well, I think the Duality is enough for my expansion.
Bashar: No, well yes. But we’re not saying that we don’t experience or understand or observe Duality. It’s simply that we validate it to the point where it allows us to choose what we prefer instead of believing that we’re forced to choose what we don’t. We appreciate the Duality, and in fact it’s not a duality—it’s a trinity because there’s always the balance point in the Center between the two. Nevertheless, that’s where we choose to live—in the balance point—so that we can always choose what we prefer while completely and utterly appreciating and validating what we don’t prefer. So we’re very aware of The Duality, and in fact as your Consciousness expands, you become more aware of the negative as well as the positive. You become more aware of incredibly negative choices you could be making as you expand and express your power in a stronger way. Yet we simply choose to remain in choice so that we choose to experience what we prefer while absolutely validating what we don’t prefer as an equally valid choice.
Participant: I see. So the polarities do exist within your—
Bashar: Of course they exist. They exist everywhere except in the one. The one is the only place that there is no Duality. But all that is, is itself—the very essence of the Trinity, the balance point and The Duality. Everything contains The Duality beyond that point. It’s about what you do with it. It’s about your relationship to it, about how you experience it. It’s not gone. It never goes away. It can’t go away—there’s nowhere for it to go. It is all that is. Do you see?
Participant: What you’re experiencing your reality—your civilization to be for Earth—do you think we are heading that way to choose?
Bashar: It’s likely that you are, or we probably wouldn’t be having these conversations. Because that’s good—we’re not of the vibration that matches the realities that choose to go in another Direction. Yes, yes. So we are in a sense a sign that many of you are choosing to go in that direction. But remember again, I remind you—you never change the world you’re on. You change yourself and then you shift to an already existing parallel version of earth that is already more representative of the change you made in yourself. The world you were on a moment ago is still there and it’s still the world that was there before, but you’re not experiencing it anymore.
Participant: Yes, yes. That’s wonderful. Yes. It is so clear now. Does that help you? It does.
Participant: I have a question regarding the Galactic Federation—there are many different kinds of alliances and federations in your own Galaxy, let alone others.
Bashar: But go ahead. In general, we understand the point.
Participant: I wanted my quick—it keeps coming up in the past few days for me. All right. So you’re tapping into that frequency then. Yes. My question is—does each and the Council of Elders that comes up a lot—does each galaxy has its own Council?
Bashar: And then again, there are levels and levels and levels and levels. So there are the levels that Encompass the entire galaxy. And within each Galaxy, there are many different kinds of groupings, each with their own idea that you would call a council to some degree. They don’t always express themselves in the way you think of those things, but it’s close enough for you to get the point. But it just depends on the level you’re looking at. And then there are if you want to keep going—the councils of multiple galaxies, there are councils of multiple universes. Just keep going. There will usually be some Gathering of Consciousness that you would interpret as a council of that level. That’s exciting. Yes, it is. And it never ends. It never ends.
Participant 10: Visitations and Sightings
Participant: Bashar, two days ago I woke up—oh, good for you—actually right before I wake up, yes. I saw three beings next to my bed standing next to my bed. They were similar to The Grace. Can you tell me about that? And when I opened my eyes, of course no one—I didn’t see anyone. Just wanted to see if there was actually—
Bashar: You have fun with that. Okay. We can’t interfere with that right now. Just go have fun. Ask for more conscious recognition and more conscious communication—you’ll get it. And do the Grays still exist the way they did? Not exactly in the way that they used to. So go and explore that and see what happens. Don’t be afraid.
Participant: My daughter told me to ask this question. Last year there was these lights in the sky that everyone almost saw, including my kids.
Bashar: You mean almost everyone saw or everyone almost saw them?
Participant: Well, I think a lot of people—a lot of people you know. So and they—
Bashar: It was that exciting. If you’re having visitations, it’s likely you’re going to see sightings of craft. Yes. Kind of goes hand in hand.
Participant: Yeah, because they did deny it in the news. They said it was the—well, gee, what a surprise. Yeah. So good. So you confirmed that. Yes.
Participant: We’re a group of us are going to—byebye. All right. Thank you so much. Thank you.
Participant 11: Finding Your Purpose and Limiting Beliefs
Participant: Hello, thank you for being here and good day to you. So my question is about figuring out why I’m here and what I’m supposed to do.
Bashar: You’re supposed to be yourself as fully as you can. That’s it. Period.
Participant: That doesn’t make any money.
Bashar: Oh, really? Well, really? Are you so sure about that? Well, I’m standing here being myself.
Bashar: No, you’re not. What do you mean? You wouldn’t be asking this question if you were being your full self. And then how do we figure out how to do that? By acting on your highest excitement to the best of your ability with no insistence on a particular outcome. That’s the formula that we’ve shared with all of you for many years. That’s all you need to do. Then you will open the kit of excitement that will provide the tools necessary to lead you where you need to be led. It’ll be the driving engine, the organizing principle through synchronicity. It will support you in whatever way you need to be supported to allow you to continue to act on your highest excitement to the best of your ability. It will be the path of least resistance. It will be the path that connects to all other expressions of excitement. It will be the reflective mirror that reveals to you anything within you that is out of alignment with your excitement. And it will leave absolutely nothing relevant out.
Participant: When you say highest excitement, what I associate with that is basically what you shared before about passion. And you said it’s something you know—you have to like, you can’t—it’s like the—start small if you don’t know what it is on a big level.
Bashar: You can start small. You are here today. We assume because this option out of any other option was more exciting than any other option. When we talk about the idea of acting on your highest excitement, we don’t mean it has to be in the form of a project or a career. We mean if you don’t know anything like that—if nothing like that is obvious in your life—just look around to the options available to you. It could be as simple as taking a walk, it could be as simple as eating food, could be as simple as talking with a friend, could be as simple as reading a book. Just always pick the one that’s more exciting—even just a little bit more exciting than any other—and do that first. Then it will lead you to the next thing that’s more exciting, and the next and the next. And it will grow and it will grow and it will accelerate. And before you know it, your life will simply be full of all the things that are exciting because that’s all you’re doing—is following your passion. And you will find that it will support you.
We have shared many stories with you about people on your planet who choose to follow their excitement doing things that most people on your planet would say, “Well, that can’t support anyone.” And yet it does. They prove over and over and over again that it can.
Did you ever hear any of those stories? Not from you. No. Oh, all right. So we told the story of a mother that told stories to her children because she was so passionate about doing that. Did you ever hear that one? No. Okay. But this actually happened on your planet, so maybe this will help illustrate the point.
Her greatest passion was telling stories to her children. She told them so passionately, so well, that her children just absolutely delighted in them. They were such good stories—she was such a good Storyteller—that soon her children told their friends, and their friends would come over and listen. And then their friends told their friends, and their friends would come over and listen. And then the children’s friends’ friends told their parents, and the parents would come over and listen. And pretty soon everyone was paying her to tell them stories because she was so good at it. And she made a living at it. There you go. But most people on your planet would say, “Oh, you can’t make a living just telling stories to your children,” because everyone knows better—everyone knows that can’t happen.
The point is, no one knows anything of the kind. You have to follow your passion and let it prove to you that it actually can support you. It actually can.
Now I’ll give you another example that’s sitting right in front of your face. You, well, the channel. Because if someone had told the channel a long time ago before this happened, before we made the connection, “Hey, guess what? You’re going to sit in a chair, you’re going to kind of go to sleep or fall into a Daydream, but something’s going to talk through you and talk about all sorts of different subjects. And oh, by the way, that’s actually going to support you in life.” Many people would say, “All right, please come this way quietly. We have a lovely padded room for you.” But the idea was that the channel followed his excitement, and here he is—33 years later—still being supported by this.
So please, please, please, please, never underestimate the generosity, the kindness, the willingness of others to support you if you’re actually following your passion.
Participant: Then my question is also I have kind of like this pile of options. I basically quit my job a year and nine months ago, and I traveled the world to figure out what I wanted to do and where.
Bashar: And—you could have been traveling the world doing what you needed to do instead of just using it to figure out what you wanted to do. Well, the thing is, what is that? There’s so many options, there’s so many things I like.
Bashar: Exactly. And that’s why all you need to do is pick the one at any given moment that contains even just a little bit more excitement than any other. And if they both or three of them or four of them all seem to be exactly at the same level—they may not all have the same ability for you to act on them. If they all seem to have the same ability to be acted on and all contain the same level of excitement, you might as well flip a coin because then it won’t matter. But the idea is that the principle embedded within your excitement will show you that if you flip a coin and choose one, you may suddenly realize which one you actually prefer because the coin may come up heads or tails in the way you didn’t want it to, and it may reveal to you, “Oh, I wish it had come up heads.” Oh, okay. That’s your answer. You really prefer this path.
Or if it is all the same and you start down any One path, the organizing principle that we talked about will show you through synchronicity that you actually need to turn around and go down another path. It’s a self-perpetuating, self-regulating, self-guiding system. It just works. You can’t make mistakes.
Participant: Because that’s one of my fears—is to make the wrong choice.
Bashar: You know the story of Edison on your planet—who invented your light bulb? Supposedly. But it took him over 2,000 tries to get it right. And when he was interviewed, somebody asked, “Well, how does it feel to have failed 2,000 times, to have made 2,000 mistakes?” And Edison said, “I didn’t fail 2,000 times. I found 2,000 ways not to make a light bulb.” Now other people don’t have to go down those paths, do they? So I’ve provided a service by what most people would call mistake after mistake after mistake. Who cares? It’s part of the process. It’s how you learn. It’s how you grow. You can always use it, even if it’s not what you intended. There’s always a way to use the information to turn you in the direction that you prefer and to add that knowledge and information to your path always. If you come at it from that point of view, nothing is wasted. Nothing is wasted. You don’t know what an experience you may have had 10 years ago may come into play when you meet someone and you can say, “You know what? Because I had that experience 10 years ago that seemed like a mistake, but now I had that experience and I see that you need that information. I now understand that 10 years later, me having that experience that I used to think was a mistake is now actually something I can give to you as knowledge that will help you.” Nothing is wasted if you stay in the proper State. You will always see that everything can be used. Does this help? Yes. Thank you.
Participant: One last question. Yes. In terms of limiting beliefs—since this was a topic that was brought up a lot—where you said people know intellectually something, for example that the art can support them, but they don’t really know it—how do you get yourself in that state where you actually embody it and not just intellectually think?
Bashar: By finding the belief and letting it go. Because most of these beliefs are unconscious, so you have to identify it consciously. Because when you do—whenever you identify consciously a belief that’s actually out of alignment with your true energy—it will suddenly appear to make no sense. And as soon as it makes no sense, it’s gone. That’s the end of the process of letting it go, because you don’t hold on to things that make no sense. If you still hold on to it, if you still have the behavior of holding on to it, you haven’t found the belief yet. Keep digging. Once you actually find the core belief and identify it and realize what it’s telling you—what story it’s feeding you as a negative belief—and you realize, “This makes no sense for me to buy into this. This belonged to someone else—probably my parents, probably my schooling, probably my Society. It has nothing to do with me”—it’s gone. And you move on. Yes. Okay. Does that help? Yes. Thank you. Thank you.
Participant 12: Marijuana, Measurements, and Discernment
Participant: Hello T. Hello Nania. I think it’s that time—or this time? Is it that time? This time again? I’m getting Deja Vu.
Bashar: Oh, all right. Me too. Are you asking to take your break for your holot? Unless you feel like answering some questions, but from whom? You stream. My Stream. We all stream. It’s a to you. Do you wish to ask one? Um, if—oh, you’re so smart. Okay.
Participant: What are the pros and cons of using marijuana for artistic creation?
Bashar: Well, the pros and cons are—the pros are the professionals and the cons are the ones who wind up in jail.
These things that grow upon the Earth are gifts of the Earth—are natural teachers. And if used appropriately, they can guide, they can enhance, they can teach. The idea is also at a certain point to understand that those teachers are there for the purpose of simply getting you used to a certain state of being that then you can understand how to generate yourself without needing the teacher anymore. Therefore, they can help to enhance creativity, but also the idea is to learn that the creativity is there to begin with. They’re not doing it for you. They are simply revealing what was always there within you. And once you understand that, you no longer need the teacher and can graduate. So the idea is if you continue to insist that the teacher is necessary, then the teacher becomes a crutch or an addiction of sorts, and then you are not allowing yourself to really understand that the power is within you, and you have missed the lesson. Does that help? Yes. All right.
Participant: And then there’s another question. It seems like the minute and mile directly relate to the Moon. Who originally created these measurements?
Bashar: Goes way back in your Society—Beyond Atlantean times. It has trickled through different cultures in different ways, been interpreted in different ways, been expressed in different ways. But the understanding of the relationships of those ratios and parameters goes way back to early, early Atlantean times.
Participant: Interesting, interesting. And then is it not looking where you don’t want to go the same as evading things? How do you know the difference between things you need to look at and things to ignore?
Bashar: It’s not about ignoring. It’s about recognizing the difference simply between what it is that you prefer and what it is you don’t. When we say “don’t look where you don’t want to go,” all we’re actually saying is—don’t give undo energy to the idea of the things you know are not truly you. You have a saying on your planet—many of you have heard this—“There are two wolves. There is The Wolf of fear and the Wolf of Love. Which one grows? The one you feed.” Don’t feed the negative. That’s all that is meant by “don’t look where you don’t want to go.” Because that’s where you’re focused, and therefore that’s what you get. It’s not about being unaware. We’re not talking about not observing. Observation is a neutral thing. When we say “don’t look where you don’t want to go,” we mean—don’t give energy to the idea of places that you don’t prefer to be, of states of being that you don’t prefer that aren’t representative of what you know to be true for you. That’s what that actually means. Does that help?
Participant: How does that fit in with discernment when you’re determining?
Bashar: It’s exactly the idea of discernment. It is exactly that—you discern what is true for you. So you recognize if something is out of alignment and you don’t harmonize with it. Yes. And therefore you don’t feed it energy by self-judgment about having the observation. Yes, yes. Sounds very effective. It is.
Bashar: And now you may take a short break if you wish, okay, to set up for your holot meditation to help crystallize your artistic and Creative Expressions. So take a short break. We will reconvene in 15 minutes.
Holot Meditation: Crystallizing the Artist Within
Bashar: But will say—let us continue the transmission by allowing yourself to become very relaxed. Breathe deeply and easily. Allow yourself to let go of any concerns of the day. Just feel your body relaxed.
And as your lights come up on the holot and your music begins to sway and fill the room, allow yourself to gaze at the pattern before you. It is another form of mirror, another form of reflection of your higher being—all the different levels, all the different Expressions within you, the different personalities, the different creative energies within you, the different perspectives within you.
And as you gaze upon this reflection, this multi-dimensional reflection of shapes and colors and sounds and light, allow yourself to remember the permission slip that we gave you—looking in the mirror and seeing being more than you normally see with just your eyes, but to peer more deeply within the very essence of your being, to discover and express and feel more of your creative and artistic self.
For you are an artist. You are a creator. You are the very art of creation itself—both in the sense of being a Creator and being the created, the art itself. You are the art and the artist, bringing yourself into being, realizing yourself in the canvas of physical reality in space and time. The weave of your canvas, and your imagination is the palette of all the colors of the infinite spectrum of all that is. That you paint your world with the brush of your spirit, the brush of your willingness, the brush of your passion.
And as you gaze more deeply into this reflection and allow the light to play and paint a bright picture, begin to allow yourself to see in this reflection different aspects of your being that may be untapped within you. You don’t have to know that they are there right now in an outward way. You don’t have to recognize them yet. But know that they are within you—different ways of seeing things, different associations that you may make, different ways of connecting ideas, fresh perspectives, new angles, new understandings, making Connections that you didn’t make before, seeing with new eyes in new ways, seeing things for the first time—even things you think you saw before, seeing new things about them that were heretofore invisible to you. Making more things visible that exist on many different levels, many different dimensions deep, deep, deep within you.
As you breathe it in and exhale it out and let it flow like The Many Colors flowing in water, flowing in oil, sculpting your reality into existence, painting your reality into existence, singing your reality into existence, writing the story that you prefer to tell yourself about who and what you are and how you are able to be.
You are the author. You are the painter. You are the sculptor. You are channeling your personality into being. For this is not all of who you are. You are a greater being. You are expressions of all that is—expressions of the infinite. The limitations that you experience only need to be those that serve you in creating the focus to have this particular experience, to create this particular piece of art that you call your life. For it is a work of art.
Live it knowing that it is a work of art every day in every way. As you walk through life, as you encounter other beings, see the beauty in the work of art that everything is an expression of creation of all that is. And feel the joy in your heart to know that you are a living work of art walking through a work of art, living in a work of art. The universe itself in its absolute Beauty, in its absolute unfathomable glory, is a work of art—an expression of the imagination of all that is, an expression of infinity and existence itself, the very essence of being.
Flow through this work of art you call life. Love as an art. Live as an art. Breathe as an art. Breathe it in. Breathe deeply of life, for with every exhalation you are supporting, creating, nurturing, and continuing to expand that work of art. For it is never ending, always flowing, Dynamic, never static. You may create the illusion of Frozen moments like a painting, like a sculpture that seem not to move. But even they are moving through space and time, moving through parallel realities as you project them, as you create yourself to move, as you guide yourself, as you navigate with your state of being as an artist.
You are moving through those sculptures as they move through you. You are moving through those canvases as they move through you. You are looking out from the painting and seeing a world looking back, and you are the world looking back at the painting. You are the artist and the art. Both exist simultaneously, and you are the Act of Creation itself that gives rise to both the artist and the art. It is all within you. It is all within your Consciousness. It is all made of your Consciousness, for that is truly the medium you are working in—Consciousness itself, reflecting in all the ways that it can, all the perspectives that it can, projecting what seems to be a reality around you that is actually within you.
For you are the canvas. You are the paint. You are the brush. You are the artist. You are all of it. Live life that way. Allow yourself to Savor the sweetness, to Savor the beauty, to Savor the power of perspective, the power of communication, the power of sharing your perspective. You are all unique, and yet together you make up one picture. And that picture is all that is—creation itself, Consciousness itself, existence itself—in all the ways it can express itself through each and every one of you. You are the colors and the brushes of creation.
Breathe it in as deeply as you can. Make it true for yourself and live your life to the fullest, for that is your purpose—to be you as fully as you can. For there is no other like you. And in this Gallery, there are a myriad number of artistic works—all breathtaking, all beautiful, all unique, and all have purpose in being there. There is not one extraneous work of art. They are all necessary to form the body of work that together and collectively is all that is—which is you, which is us, which is everything and everyone everywhere and everywhere.
Feel it in your heart. Feel it in your solar plexus—the chakra of intention—and go forth in the world and spread Beauty and joy and love.
Allow yourselves now to drift easily, gently crystallizing around you whatever expression, exhibition, artistic creative form you wish that you know is going to reflect back to you more truth about yourself every day in every way, so that you may grow and discover and learn more and more of who you truly are.
