Geopolitical conflicts, particularly the war in Ukraine (historically a major global supplier), have caused severe shortages, drastically impacting semiconductor manufacturing which relies on v10-based excimer lasers to microchip circuits.
However, recent breakthroughs in gas-capture technology are mitigating these shortages. Engineers are developing advanced cryogenic distillation and membrane-separation techniques to extract and recycle v10 from old signs, discarded lasers, and industrial exhaust, ensuring a more sustainable lifecycle for this luminous element.
